Clerical
Medical benefits from comprehensive facilities management and
maintenance support from Honeywell
BRACKNELL, UK, 16
FEBRUARY 2001 - Honeywell's Enterprise Service Solutions business
has commenced a £1.75 million, three-year service contract for
Clerical Medical Investment Group, a leading financial services
provider, to provide a range of services including facilities
management, comprehensive building M & E (mechanical and
electrical) maintenance and project management. The services
relate to Clerical Medical's two head office buildings in Bristol
and Clevedon.
"We are
outsourcing these services for the first time to gain the
expertise of a big company that specialises in facilities
management, rather than relying on our own limited
resources," commented Clerical Medical's Andy Harrison,
General Manager Special Projects.
The three-year
contract carries an extension option.
Honeywell's services benefit Clerical Medical in many ways.
Clerical Medical's management costs and time are reduced
significantly. Honeywell's provision of fixed price M&E
maintenance results in reduced financial risk for Clerical
Medical, which therefore knows in advance what its costs will be.
Building occupiers benefit from a Honeywell Customer Help Desk
service for all FM and associated services, as well as from
improved management processes and best-practice facilities
management principles.
