Seminars set to raise intelligent building standards

BRACKNELL, UK, 27 FEBRUARY 2001 - Honeywell Control Systems is growing its reputation as a supplier of integrated building solutions with a series of seminars strengthening its partnership with the UK's most influential mechanical, electrical, telecommunications and IT consultants.

The agenda will see independent industry experts discussing hot building management issues and how intelligent building management systems and communications solutions impact lifecycle costs and payback. FM managers running cutting-edge UK buildings will talk about their experience of structured cabling networks; how they support seamless ' single window' access to fire, security, access control and energy efficiency and help quick, critical decision-making.

The three seminars will build on the relationships that already exist between Honeywell, the consulting community and professional bodies including The Association of Consulting Engineers and The Chartered Institute of Building Engineers. They will kick-start a programme of sustained knowledge sharing and best practice.

Seminar dates/venues are:

June 14 London
June 21 Glasgow
June 28 Manchester
Daily at IFSEC 2001 (May 21 - 25), at the NEC, Birmingham

"This is part of an on-going programme for consultants to opt into," says Simon Ryan, UK customer relationship and communications manager. "Honeywell is focusing on those consultancy firms that are open to the potential for smart building solutions. Partnership will achieve results through stronger relationships, continuous improvement and shared best practice"

Seminar support tools will include a newly launched interactive website with monthly electronic updates, case studies, white papers, site visits, shared technical data and Honeywell relationship managers.
