Telford Copper Cylinders features Honeywell Smartfit and several other dependable Honeywell products on its range of advanced pre-plumbed, pre-assembled hot water cylinders.

BRACKNELL, UK, 29 AUGUST 2001 – Telford Copper Cylinders Ltd has added to the range of Honeywell products featured on its pre-plumbed hot water cylinders with the launch of Tornado Smartfit, a pre-plumbed, pre-wired, pre-assembled hot water cylinder for domestic use. Tornado Smartfit not only reduces the amount of plumbing on site but also the problems and time associated with controls wiring by employing Honeywell's Smartfit control system, with its combination of low voltage wiring and plug-in connections. Installation time is reduced and commissioning and maintenance are faster and easier than is the case with a traditional control system.

With a huge reputation for the excellence and reliability of its hot water cylinders and pre-plumbed units, Telford Copper Cylinders employs several dependable Honeywell high quality products on the Tornado Smartfit and other models in its range. These products include Honeywell motorised valves, cylinder thermostats, a combined temperature/pressure relief valve and an inlet control set comprising a pressure reducing valve, expansion valve and single check valve as a single assembly. In fact, Honeywell brought forward development of this inlet control set in response to Telford Copper Cylinders' requirements.

Telford Copper Cylinders has been a major force in the development and growing acceptance of mains pressure systems, also known as unvented systems. "A mains pressure system provides superior water delivery, lower running costs and faster hot water recovery time than a vented system, whilst also eliminating the header tank," said Mike Dell, Chief Executive of Telford Copper Cylinders. "They are easy to plumb in, with just four connections, while the addition of Honeywell's Smartfit control system saves further time on site.

"Built-in diagnostic programmes within Smartfit indicate any system faults and their exact location. Commissioning and servicing is therefore easier, saving valuable time for the installer and long-term benefits to the householder."

Telford Copper Cylinders has carried out a great deal of research during development of these advanced systems, which require a thorough understanding of how water behaves under pressure at varying rates of temperature and flow. Honeywell considers Telford Copper Cylinders' needs within its development plans and has customised products to Telford's requirements.
