Helping
making homes, cosier, safer and cheaper to heat: Honeywell advises
central heating system installers at PHEX Domestic plumbing and
Heating Exhibition.
Honeywell
provides valuable advise, answers technical questions and
demonstrates the latest heating control technologies.
BRACKNELL, UK,
26
FEBRUARY 2002 - Homes throughout Ireland can soon be cosier,
electrically safer and less costly to heat because experts from
the leading central heating controls supplier Honeywell are coming
to Dublin and Belfast in April.
Honeywell will provide advice on installing and using
central heating controls at the PHEX Domestic Plumbing &
Heating Exhibitions held at the Kings Hall Conference Centre in
Belfast and 15/16th April 2002 and the Red Cow Conference Centre
in Dublin on 17/18th April 2002.
At
the show Honeywell will demonstrate the latest heating control
technologies and provide lots of advice.
“We will be there to answer installers’ problems,
rather than just to show the latest products,” said Richard
Edwards, Manager of Honeywell’s Trade Business.
The
star of Honeywell’s display is the Smartfit system, established
as a new standard for central heating control – not surprising
as it was developed in response to demands for a system that is
not only quick and easy to install but shows if there is a fault.
Smartfit
uses plug-in, low voltage connections to ensure there are no
wiring mistakes. Smartfit
is much safer for householders as its low voltages mean there is
no danger of an electrical shock due to touching bare wires in the
control circuits accidentally.
If
the electrical system should fail, heating can be restored much
faster than with a conventional system because the Smartfit
display shows a fault code which the householder can pass on to
their technician. This
identifies the problem so the correct parts to be taken to solve
the problem in one visit.
Traditional
control solutions are still important, so Honeywell is
demonstrating products at DHPTE to develop this market, including
reversible flow radiator thermostats and advanced controls such as
the CM60 programmable room thermostat range. With the growth of
combi boiler installations, Honeywell offers both wired and
wireless (RF) control solutions.
Honeywell
also holds regular training courses around the country to help
installers keep up to date with the latest technologies.
Honeywell is also involved in lobbying the Government to
raise the standard of energy efficiency controls in the UK.
All
Honeywell products comply with UK and European directives and are
manufactured in factories certificated to ISO 9000.
Admission
to PHEX is free to installers. Visitors can register online at http://www.phexshow.co.uk
