Automatic
Time Set feature uses national radio signal to ensure Smartfit
central heating control keeps accurate time.
Another Smartfit that adds to happy customers
profitable installation and enhanced reputation.
BRACKNELL,
UK, 19 SEPTEMBER 2002 -
An Automatic Time Set (ATS) option has been added to the
controller at the heart of Honeywell’s Smartfit home central
heating and hot water control system.
With the ATS option, the Smartfit Room Unit will have the
most accurate clock in the house and the user or installer never
need set its time again.
The
Smartfit ATS electronics recognise the national radio time signal
transmitted from Rugby by the National Physical Laboratory (NPL)
and sets the correct time and day.
Every day the signal is checked to ensure the Smartfit
controller keeps to the precise time.
The Smartfit clock is adjusted automatically when the time
changes between GMT and BST.
Honeywell
Smartfit has already revolutionised the heating control industry
through its low voltage wiring and plug-in control connections
that minimise the chance of errors and make wiring quicker and
simpler. The
ATS option requires no extra wiring and the
radio signal can be received throughout the British Isles.
Smartfit’s
simplicity of installation already increases installers’
productivity by removing the difficulty
of wiring a home central heating system, reducing installation
time and by providing diagnostic codes that the householder can
read over the phone to simplify fault-finding in the event of
failure. With ATS,
the installer will never get a call-back to reset the clock.
All
these features, coupled with the established Honeywell renown for
quality and reliability, add up to happy customers, profitable
installation and enhanced reputation.
Smartfit
systems are supplied in Y-Plan and S-Plan options, whilst the
stylish Smartfit controller is available in 24-hour and 7-day
versions.
