FAQ's

Hobbs embraced a Lean Manufacturing philosophy during the mid-1990s and is beginning to institute lean thinking in our support operations with the goal of establishing a true Lean Enterprise Business System. This includes ensuring products are designed for manufacturability with standardized processes that provide consistent quality and delivery. The organizational approach for achieving the lean concepts are to establish quality systems and practices focused on achieving Six Sigma results. This approach promotes a company culture that is quality conscious and creates an environment that is focused on ensuring that manufacturing processes are stable and predictable.

A lean enterprise reacts faster and more efficiently. New designs in as little as 6 months, 100% delivery to JIT windows and Six Sigma Quality Level are the goals. The rewards are price stability, concurrent engineering, and direct links between clients' scheduling and manufacturing and lead-time reductions.

It is the goal of Hobbs to meet customer-value needs through continuously improved products and processes. That is the basis by which Hobbs works to create a partnership with customers. Evidence of commitment to our customers is provided by our goal of a Shipped Product Quality Level (SPQL) of 200 ppm. We utilize Advanced Quality Planning and a QS9000 based quality system.
