New ST 2000 Pressure Transmitter Offers Low Cost, High Reliability

Honeywell has introduced the cost-effective ST 2000 Pressure Transmitter, designed to replace conventional analog transmitters in process monitoring applications.

The ST 2000 Pressure Transmitter is a direct replacement for conventional analog transmitters and indicators in low-tier process industry applications. It is ideal for non-smart applications that require reliable, low-cost absolute and gauge pressure measurements.

The ST 2000 expands Honeywell's product offerings in the growing pressure transmitter market by providing an economical yet powerful complement to the higher performance ST 3000® Smart Pressure Transmitter line. Target industries for the product include food and beverage, power generation, water and waste, pharmaceuticals, fine chemicals, and pulp and paper.

The ST 2000 family comprises eight gauge-pressure models that range from—14.5 to 6700 psi and three absolute—pressure models that range from 0 to 165 psia. All models have a turndown capability of greater than 10:1. The microprocessor-based electronics provide two-wire, 4-20 mA output signals proportional to the measured variables. The microprocessor enhances accuracy by compensating the signal for temperature effects and device non-linearities. Several process connections are available for the ST 2000, including a ½-inch NPT and a flush-mount sanitary connection. Each ST 2000 is supplied with an LCD indicator for local display of the process variable. Configuration is accomplished via two pushbuttons on the meter, thus eliminating the need for a hand-held terminal or PC.

On-Line Field Instruments Seminar Coming Soon

Topic: Pocket PC-based Configuration of Field Instruments

With the current proliferation of communications protocols for smart field instruments, over time a plant or mill can accumulate instruments with multiple protocols. As a result, users are forced to purchase more than one configuration tool for their instruments. What's worse, these tools are often single-purpose, bulky, and difficult to juggle.

Now there is an alternative for users who need to configure instruments with DE and HART protocols. This seminar demonstrates new Pocket PC-based technology for configuring, monitoring, managing, and diagnosing smart field instruments from Honeywell and other suppliers.

Who Should Attend: Instrument technicians, instrumentation maintenance personnel, engineering and maintenance management.

Look for the date and time to be posted on our Website. To register, access content.honeywell.com/imc/seminars/.
