Overview
Honeywell Sensing and Control provides proximity sensors and switches for position sensing of aircraft doors, slats landing gear, linkages and actuators designed around proprietary high-sensitivity technology, incorporating either two-wire passive or three-, four- or five-wire active hermetically sealed sensors.
VRS Hall-Effect Proximity Sensors
Hall-effect Proximity switches sense the distance between a predetermined target surface relative to the sensor face using either a magnet as a target or a ferrous steel target. Single or multiple output signals are available as well as two-wire current loop switches.
Integral Electronics VRS Proximity Switches
The variable inductance sensor technology noted for the two-piece variable inductance sensor is available with integral electronics which provide the coil excitation and switching circuits. Single or multiple output signals are available.
Two-piece Variable Reluctance Sensors
Position sensing of a metal near/far condition are available. The sensor inductance value is relative to the target position and the sensor face. External electronics are required to sense the inductance change. Application assistance is available.
