The
Domestic Heating and Plumbing Trade Events: Honeywell provides
valuable advice, answers technical questions and demonstrates the
latest heating control technologies.
BRACKNELL,
14 SEPTEMBER 2001 –
Honeywell, the leading supplier of controls to the domestic
heating market, provides valuable advice on maximising the
trade’s profitability, answers technical questions and
demonstrates the latest heating control technologies to visitors
at the regional Domestic Heating and Plumbing Trade Events (DHPTE)
this autumn.
“We
are there to answer installers’ problems, rather than just to
show the latest products,” said Richard Edwards, Manager of
Honeywell’s Trade Business.
Key
among the Honeywell exhibits is the Smartfit system, now
established as a new standard for central heating control – not
surprising as it was developed in response to installers demands
for a system that is not only quick and easy to install but
includes self-diagnostics to show if there is a fault.
It helps specifiers, merchants and installers by reducing
the complexity of installation and ensures the installation is
“right first time”. Its
connections are either plug in or have two wire connections that
are polarity free, resulting in reduced hassle and inconvenience.
If there is a central heating problem in the future, the
householder can pass on a fault code from the Smartfit
controller’s display, identifying the problem and allowing the
correct parts to be taken to fix it.
Traditional
control solutions are still of major importance, so Honeywell is
demonstrating products to develop this market, including
reversible flow radiator thermostats and advanced controls such as
the CM60 programmable room thermostat range. With the growth of
combi boiler installations, Honeywell offers both wired and
wireless (RF) control solutions.
Honeywell is committed to expanding the market, so it holds
regular training courses around the country to help installers
keep up to date with the latest technologies.
Honeywell is also involved in lobbying the Government to
raise the standard of energy efficiency controls in the UK.
All Honeywell products comply with UK and European directives and
are manufactured in factories certificated to ISO 9000.
Established in 1885, Honeywell have a reputation for high
quality products that meet every control requirement in all its
business areas including applications as diverse as aerospace,
industrial processes and commercial buildings.
