Scotland’s prestigious new Parliament Building will feature Honeywell Building Management System .

Honeywell's latest technology system will ensure the environmental comfort of Scotland's political leaders.

BRACKNELL, UK, 30 October 2001    Honeywell is to supply, install and commission the building management system for the new Scottish Parliament Building under a £1.5 million contract placed by the main contractors Bovis Lend Lease (Scotland) Ltd.  Construction work on this major project at Holyrood, Edinburgh is scheduled to be complete by the end of 2002.

The design of the new building, briefed to last at least one hundred years, combines history and modernity.  It will be a fitting place for Scotland’s political leaders to debate, legislate and manage the country’s affairs.  Honeywell’s latest technology will ensure their comfort in this spectacular building by controlling the heating, ventilating and air conditioning systems – reliably and cost-efficiently.  Honeywell will provide four PC-based Excel Building Supervisor stations for operational and engineering access to the system.

Commented Bob Baker, Vice President and General Manager, Honeywell Enterprise Service Solutions UK, “Honeywell is delighted to have not only tendered at a competitive price but also demonstrated a thorough understanding of the design team's and client's requirements, resulting in the award of this prestigious contract.”
