Honeywell releases dates/venues of its autumn installer training courses.

Courses include details revised Building Regulations Part L1

BRACKNELL, UK, 1 AUGUST 2002 - Honeywell has released the autumn dates and venues for its industry-standard, intensive one-day installer training courses.  As in all Honeywell courses held this year, the topics covered include guidance on the revised Part L1 of the Building Regulations in England and Wales, which has a significant effect on all new domestic central heating installations.  In particular there is advice on methods for bringing older systems up to modern standards in line with the statutory requirements, as required in England and Wales from 1 April 2002

Honeywell has arranged courses throughout the country to bring them conveniently close to installers.  It offers two one-day courses, Installer Training Course (A) and Upgrade for Profit (B), each costing only £25 (£15 for courses held in Bracknell) including a comprehensive training manual and lunch.

The Installer Training Course (A) combines theory and "hands on" experience covering all aspects of installation and energy conservation.  It explains the impact of the building Regulations will have on the way they work and gets installers up to-date on control selection, fault finding and wiring skills.  Naturally, it includes Smartfit – the new standard for central heating controls.

Upgrade for Profit (B) includes topics such as combi boiler controls, frost protection, unvented systems, thermal store systems and zoning controls. It extends to more advanced controls, notably the Smartfit system and the increasingly popular “wireless” units that use radio communication within the home, such as the Honeywell CM60RF series of programmable controllers. This course also includes a refresher session on sales techniques that will help installers boost their profits.

At just £25 per day – or £15 per day for courses at Bracknell and Newhouse (Motherwell) – the courses represent excellent value for installers, who will be much better informed about many topics essential to the success of their business.

Course details, the latest list of dates and venues, and a booking form are published on the Internet at www.honeywell.com/uk/homes/training.htm

Enquiries and bookings can also be made by telephone on 01344 656352.  Payment can be by cheque or credit card.
