Honeywell Frost Protection Kit protects heating and pipework from the dangers of freezing

Provides peace of mind for the householder

BRACKNELL, UK, 15 NOVEMBER 2000 - Householders can protect their pipework from the dangers of the winter freeze with a simple and reliable Frost Protection Kit from Honeywell. It provides automatic frost protection for central heating boilers and pipework situated in areas at risk of freezing, as well as providing general protection for the building fabric and occupants.

Installers and plumbers can install the kit simply and quickly. It comprises a frost thermostat and a low-limit pipe thermostat, suitable for the majority of installations. The kit is supplied in one box complete with installation instructions.

The frost thermostat is mounted on the wall of the coldest room, guarding exposed boilers and any pipework that is not protected by heating, such as boiler rooms, attics and garages. The pipe thermostat, connected to the frost thermostat, is situated on the boiler return pipe ensuring that overheating does not occur. If the kit is installed in a garage to protect the boiler, it may be necessary to install additional frost thermostats in the property itself to ensure complete protection.

In this way the householder has peace of mind that their property is completely protected against any threat from freezing.
